During English class the past two days the students have been working on stories about what they think the world will be like in 100 years, and then illustrating that future. Some very creative minds I have in my class this year. General consensus is that we will be living in a zombie apocalypse. I also used an aging app to age the kids to middle age. I don't think the app is very reliable, but we had a ton of fun taking the pictures.
During our science lesson on Physical Changes in Matter the students tired their hand at Origami to see that even though they are folding the paper into a different shape, if you unfolded it, it would return to it's original shape. It was neat to see how well they turned out.
The students are learning about Atoms and Molecules this week in Science. We had a fun hands-on learning experience about how atoms based on their amounts of protons, neutrons, and electrons can look different when you make a model of them. I was impressed by how, even though they were given the same atom their models might look a little different.
